Well, dear readers, as often happens in life, my plans have been changed for me. It had been my understanding that I would be able to work from camp, and that I would be home on weekends. As it turns out, this is not necessarily the case. So now, I will simply be extending my hiatus.
Since I will essentially be taking a vacation from the online world, there will also be no time to create the midsummer newsletter. I will be making this up at a later date, possibly with an extended Halloween newsletter. This is also under some scrutiny however, based on the extra full course load in the fall semester. The next two years will be vital to the degree, so the school must come first.
Do not fret, as I will absolutely be taking full advantage of the first weeks of August to prepare for both school and a new season of bloggy fun.
In other news, my short story, “Her Last Question” has been accepted for publication in an anthology called Blackbird’s Third Flight, which is due out sometime in October. I am so overjoyed by this, it is impossible to put into words, and if I could the page would drip so much sugar we’d have ants. Suffice it to say, the folks that put this together are wonderful and have accepted me as one of their own. Even my tears of joy are warm and fuzzy.
Well, life presses in, and as much as I love you guys, it’s time to make the dinner. Until next time,
Stay twisted!
